Located in a quiet riverside residential district outside the city center of Matsumoto, Ryokan Seifu-so is the ideal base for exploring the surrounding area and the natural and man made wonders they have to offer. Ryokan Seifu-so is only a twenty minutes walk away from the town centre and Matsumoto Castle, but with bicycles available to the guests to borrow free of charge exploring what Matsumoto has to offer is easy and highly enjoyable. Ryokan Seifu-so offers traditional Japanese style bedrooms complete with tatami mat floors, breakfast and dinner are available on request and again they offer both Japanese and western style meals. There is also the option of choosing a room with a shared kitchen if you fancy trying your hand at Japanese cuisine yourself and there is a vending machine in the lobby for minerals and beers. Although there are private shower rooms available, guests might prefer to use the spacious, mineral rich baths, ideal for relaxing after a busy day sightseeing. They also offer free internet, printer and fax facilities and free parking. Rooms range from 4,800 yen for one person to 12,600 yen for a 3 person room. With 13 rooms Ryokan Seifu-so can accomodate up to 35 people if booked seperately but can cater for group bookings of up to 50 guests.

Location / Directions

8 min by car from JR Matsumoto stn. / 15 min by car from Matsumoto I.C. / Ryokan Seifu-so is easily accessible by bus ( number 2 bus(Yokota daijyunkansen) bound for Asama-onsen / Just get off at Minamiasama and the ryokan is less than two minutes away) and by taxi (just ask the driver).
